Breakthrough Workshop Theatre is celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride with THE BWT PRIDE HONORS 2024. In recognition of their indelible impact on the community, 10 honorees will be highlighted through an educational presentation full of music, theatre, spoken word, poetry, stories, and history you never learned in school, all researched and created by an ensemble of Breakthrough Artists. Performed as part of San Diego’s Pride Month, it will commemorate many champions from our past, and acknowledge the barriers they had to break through to guarantee our future.
The 2024 class of BWT Pride Honorees includes Ariana DeBose, Stormé DeLarverie, Todd Gloria, Keith Haring, Crystal LaBeija, Bette Midler, José Julio Sarria, Matthew Shepard, Aimee Stephens and Robin Tyler.
